With lineups as varied as these, there is something for everyone this May, and we’ve got your back when it comes to festival camping. Here are some of the coolest festivals this month, and your RV camping options!
Sunfest
Dates: May 2-5, 2019
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Headliners: OneRepublic, G-Eazy, Diplo, Keith Urban
May Music Festivals kick off in West Palm Beach with Sunfest. A varied group of artists headline the event, covering everything from Country to EDM. There are plenty of campsites in the West Palm Beach area for festival-goers to park their RVs like Palm Beach RV Park,which is 10 Minutes from the festival grounds, and Palm Beach Colony, which is 15 Minutes from the grounds.

Welcome to Rockville

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Shaky Knees Music Festival
Dates: May 3-5, 2019
Location: Atlanta, GA
Headliners: Beck, Incubus, Cage the Elephant, Tame Impala
If Alt-Rock is your vibe, you might want to pack it up and roll into Atlanta this weekend for Shaky Knees. The three day festival is not a camping event, and with a venue right in the heart of Atlanta, you can’t exactly park your camper next door, but that doesn’t mean you can’t camp while rocking out. We found some great options about a half hour drive from the Festival Venue like Sweetwater Creek RV Reserve and Atlanta Marietta Resort Park.
With more than 60 bands each year Shaky Knees is a rock-lover’s dream. Since its inception, Shaky Knees has featured a diverse lineup ranging from world-renowned acts to up-and-coming artists. Shaky Knees Music Festival returns to Atlanta’s Central Park from May 3rd-5th, 2019.

Just Like Heaven
Dates: May 3 & 4, 2019
Location: Long Beach, CA
Headliners: Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, Beach House
Just Like Heaven has Indie fans covered this May; their lineup is stacked with some of the best throwback indie-pop bands of the 00’s. The inaugural festival’s grounds can only be accessed by shuttle, but if you are planning on camping at JLH, you’ve got plenty of options just minutes from the festival’s shuttle pickup points. Golden Shore RV Resort is just 7 minutes from the shuttle pickup location, and Resort Parks Int’l LLC is 15 minutes from the shuttle.
Idk if you’ve seen the lineup, but it is pretty dope and you will regret not coming. Yes, The Rapture is playing, we know this is exciting, we booked them.

Lightning in a Bottle
Dates: May 8-13, 2019
Location: Buena Vista Lake, Kern County, CA
Headliners: Disclosure, Big Gigantic, Flying Lotus, Santigold
If your scene is more a mix of Electronica and Environment, Lightning in the Bottle is the spot for you, and the good news is, LiB has camping on-site for both tents and RVs! Attendees can purchase RV camping passes with optional Power Hookup. RV Campsites range from $355-$1200 per vehicle, depending on space and hookup options.
Celebrating Art, Music, Performance, Sustainability & Life. The history of LIB spans more than a decade, and friends, family, and co-horts of The Do LaB are thrilled and astounded that it’s been more than ten years of making miracles and catching Lightning in a Bottle!

The Great Escape
Dates: May 9-11, 2019
Location: Brighton, UK
Headliners: Lewis Capaldi, Kara Marni, Easy Life, Foals
Maybe you’re across the pond and want to catch some smaller artists before they really make it big. The Great Escape is a Brighton-based music festival who’s eclectic lineup perform in venues scattered across the city. Because the city is the venue, TGE doesn’t have on-site camping, but there are a couple of great campsites nearby like Brighton Caravan and Motorhome Club and Southdown Caravan Park, both of which are under twenty minutes from the heart of Brighton.
The Great Escape is the festival for new music, showcasing 500 emerging artists from all over the world in 30+ walkable venues across the city plus, new for 2018, a festival site on Brighton Beach. It’s the first place to discover your new favorite artist and see them in an intimate setting before they go on to headline major festival stages.

Rolling Loud
Dates: May 10-12, 2019
Location: Miami Gardens, FL
Headliners: Migos, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Cardi B, Lil Wayne
If you would thrive in Hip-Hop Heaven, Rolling Loud is the festival for you. There are plenty of campgrounds near Hard Rock Stadium for anyone hoping to stay in their RV overnight to see all three headliners. La Palm Trailer Park and Honey Hill Motor Home are both ten minutes from the stadium.
Rolling Loud Festival is a 3-day music event that started in Miami, FL and is now the largest Hip-Hop festival in the world. We now also hosts festivals in Northern California and Southern California, with plans to expand internationally to Japan, China and Europe in the near future.

Fisherman’s Village Music Festival
Dates: May 16-18, 2019
Location: Everett, Washington
Headliners: Travis Thompson, Wolf Parade, The Coathangers, Laura Veirs
If you are looking to discover new artists or love an underground vibe, Fisherman’s Village is your spot. The festival is based in Everett, Washington and will feature a night market and a beer garden. Taking the RV? There are a couple of conveniently located campsites if you want to camp your way through the festival like Snohomish RV & Mobile Home and Fairway Estates Mobile Home Park, both of which are only 15 minutes from the town of Everett.
Each year Fisherman’s Village expands into new venues, brings in new artists, and looks to the future. This year’s festival will feature the first Fisherman’s Village Night Market, offering a stage programmed on Friday and Saturday, food trucks, beer garden and over 40 vendors selling locally made goods.

Hangout Music Festival
Dates: May 16-19, 2019
Location: Gulf Shores, AL
Headliners: Travis Scott, The Lumineers, Khalid, Vampire Weekend, Cardi B, Kygo
Dubbed “A Music Vacation” by their website, Hangout Music Festival is a party on the beach to the sound of some of the most popular artists of the moment. There are hotels and condos all along the coast, but if you are planning on camping, your best bets are RV Luxury Resort which is five minutes from the venue, and Island Retreat RV Park, which is eight minutes from the venue.
The Hangout Music Fest is known for sugar white beaches, starry nights and red hot music. Hangout is as much a vacation as it is a concert event. Offering more than just music, fans can take advantage of festival amenities including beach volleyball, carnival rides, Gulf-front hammocks, delicious seafood and more.

Electric Daisy Carnival
Dates: May 18-20, 2019
Location: Las Vegas, NV

Electric Daisy Carnival is three glowing nights in Vegas, a perfect storm for fans of EDM and Trap. With elaborate stages, carnival rides, and glow-in-the-dark art installations, you won’t want to miss a moment. The good news is EDC allows RV camping onsite for anywhere from $279-$650 per RV.

Boston Calling

Boston Calling’s lineup is versatile but friendly, and you probably recognize at least a few names from the list no matter who you are. With Boston as a backdrop, the festival itself has a ton to explore, and there are a few nearby campsites for anyone planning on camping out all three days. Hanscom AFB FamCamp Campground is only a thirty minute drive from the venue.
More than 50 bands, 3 outdoor stages and an indoor arena, the best food in Boston, 100 foot Ferris wheel, art installations, life-size games, exciting partnership activation. There’s so much to explore and see at Boston Calling.

BottleRock, Napa Valley’s “First taste of Summer,” celebrates more than just music with a Chef’s Stage full of culinary entertainment, Spa experiences, and a Silent Disco. If you are planning on Rving into town to participate in the festivities, stay at Camp Caneros, BottleRock’s official event campsite is located just two miles from the venue and allows tent and RV camping.

California Roots

All about those laid-back Reggae vibes? California Roots has you covered. With Live Painting Workshops, and after-dark lounge, and and Art & Wine Retreat, creative fans will thrive in California Roots’ chill and inspiring environment. The festival partnered with Laguna Seca for attendees planning on camping, and even provide a shuttle from the campground to the venue for a no-stress experience.

Elements Festival

Elements might be the closest option to home for anyone in our area. Just over 3 hours from White Horse RV, Williamstown is a lakeside festival of music and art. Attendees can rent campsites at the festival, but cannot bring their own tents or RVs onto the festival grounds. Otherwise, there are some campgrounds just a short drive from the event, like Guestward Ho Family Campground which is a 35 minute drive from the festival grounds.

Neon Desert Music Festival
Dates: May 25 & 26, 2019
Location: El Paso, TX

Neon Desert’s multi-genre festival might be where you’re headed this Memorial Day Weekend. A powerful combo of American and Latin artists are lined up to entertain all in attendance. You won’t have to stray far to find a convenient campsite for the weekend. Hernandez Trailer Park and Lightbourn Mobile Home Park are both ten minutes from downtown El Paso.
Our Mission: To produce an annual music festival for El Paso by El Pasoans, while providing the local artistic community an outlet to showcase their talents alongside national and international headliners.

Gather Outdoors

Gather Outdoors is a brand new festival for 2019. House vibes and Techno Beats set against the beauty of the Catskills, might make this inaugural event your pick for MDW. Gather offers rentable RV’s for on-site camping, as well as the option to camp in your own.
For the love of dance music, we come together in nature. Gather will take place in upstate New York in the Catskills on Memorial Day weekend 2019.

Bunbury
Dates: May 31- June 2, 2019
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Headliners: Fall Out Boy, Greta Van Fleet, The 1975, Run the Jewels, Girl Talk
Bunbury starts at the very end of the month, and might be your choice of festival because of it’s lineup of popular acts. With acoustic sets and a craft beer garden, Bunbury is the hippest place around. There is not camping on-site, but Bunbury lists their choices for campsites near the venue on their website.
To bunbury, or to go bunburying, is to have a made-up excuse to get out of doing something boring. Every Bunbury weekend in June, we give you a great excuse to get out of whatever you don’t want to do.

The Governors Ball
Dates: May 31- June 2, 2019
Location: Randall’s Island, NYC
Headliners: Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Brockhampton, Florence + the Machine, Major Lazer, The 1975, The Strokes, NAS
Wrapping up the May festival lineup is The Governor’s ball in Randall’s Island Park, NY. The Governer’s Ball’s urban vibe, big-name headliners, and endless festivities might make this one high on your list. Because the festival is in the city, campers might have to do a bit of driving to find a spot to spend the night. Liberty Harbor RV Park is less than an hour from the city by car, and also accessible by Ferry.
We started all this 9 years ago because we were music lovers who lived in a city that needed – that deserved – a contemporary music festival. Music is always our primary focus, and with 60+ artists of all genres across 4 stages, there is something for everyone.
